The Avia C-2 follows on from the production of the Arado Ar 96 aircraft, a German training aircraft from the Second World War period. This all-metal monoplane was created based on the Luftwaffe’s requirement for a modern advanced training aircraft. The first prototype took off in 1938, and series production began a year later. In Czechoslovakia, the Arado Ar 96 flew under the name Avia C-2, and a total of approximately 3,500 units were produced.
The kit is intended to be glued together and contains plastic mouldings from the original molds of the Kovozávody Prostějov company. It works as a fun project for both beginners and advanced model makers – and also as a nice addition to a collection.
