In Dixit, one player becomes the storyteller: they choose a card from their hand and describe it with a clue (a word, a sentence or an association). The other players try to match the clue as well as possible and choose from their hand the card that they think fits best. All chosen cards are shuffled, laid out, and then secret voting takes place on which card belonged to the storyteller.
You score the most points when the clue is just right – understandable enough, but not too obvious. Thanks to the variable course of the game and your co-players’ reactions, every session is different and requires attention as well as tactical decision-making. Clear symbols on the cards help you quickly orient yourself in the move options, and the game is suitable for families as well as various groups.
