Quartet is played with 32 cards with thematically focused pictures. The cards are divided into 8 groups of four so that the pictures in each set logically belong together – these sets of four are called quartets. Each card lists the names of the other cards from the given quartet.
The game is played by at least 3 players, and the cards are dealt evenly. The starting player challenges another player to hand over a specific card (identified by a letter, number, and name). The condition is that the asking player must have at least one card from the quartet to which the requested card belongs. If the challenged player has the card, they hand it over; if not, they say so and continue playing. Once a player collects a complete quartet, they put it aside and score a point. The player with the highest number of points wins.
