The figures are pressed on the board by a clamping mechanism – with a careless pull it can clamp and shoot out the remaining monkeys. Every round is full of anticipation and laughter.
The cards determine which color and size of figure you must pull out. Progressing across the spaces (start–finish) adds clear rules and motivates children to focus.
Monkeys/pawns in red, blue and green and in three sizes increase the variety of tasks and support color recognition and fine motor skills.
One of the most fun ways to learn is through play – and Booby Trap (jumping monkeys) develops logical thinking, fine motor skills and concentration in children and adults alike. The goal is to pull the monkeys out of the game board without moving the others. Sounds easy? The figures are pressed by a clamping wall, so even a small mistake can cause a sudden clamp and a “shot” of the remaining monkeys.
Each player gets a card that determines the color and size of the figure to be removed. You move along the spaces on the card from start to finish, and the winner is the one who reaches the finish first.
