How to (briefly): Straighten the canvas before you start (e.g., by weighing it down). Peel off the protective film only from the part you are currently working on so the adhesive does not dry out. Dip the applicator into the dry glue, pick up a gem, and transfer it to the corresponding symbol. After finishing, gently press the gems down with a book or a flat surface.
