Recommended procedure: Before you start, flatten the canvas (e.g., by weighing it down). Peel off the protective film only from the part you are currently working on so the glue does not dry out. Dip the applicator into the dry glue, pick up a gem, and place it on the corresponding symbol. After finishing, gently press the gems down with a book or a flat surface.
