The pull-back and “tap” mechanism of Doctor Woodpecker into the trunk trains fast reactions and hand–eye coordination. Each hit brings the worm closer to popping out.
Players spin the arrow on a dial with 6 fields: green/yellow/blue (set the ring to the given color), ? (choose any color), X2 (two turns in a row) and X (turn is skipped).
Includes the tree, woodpecker, worm, spinner and 20 paper sheets with growth rings that are inserted into hoops on the trunk. This lets you play repeatedly and easily set up for the next round.
In this surprising game, a restless worm sits in the tree trunk, “nibbling” the tree – and it’s up to you to use Doctor Woodpecker to hit the right spots and get the worm out. Each player takes a turn, spins the arrow on the dial, and based on the result sets the colored ring on the trunk. Then you pull back the woodpecker and release it – the удар creates a hole in the paper “growth ring”.
The winner is the one who is first to punch through the growth rings enough for the worm to “stick out” of the trunk. A great choice for home play, where you’ll appreciate simple rules, exciting randomness thanks to the spinner and the action tapping mechanism.
