The cards for the geometric cabinet are designed as a supplement to working with the Geometric Cabinet in the spirit of the Montessori pedagogy of Maria Montessori. Using different ways of displaying shapes, the child gradually strengthens the perception of forms and orientation in the world of geometry.
Included are three sets that correspond to the shapes in the Geometric Cabinet:
Direct aims: distinguishing shapes and forms as a key to orientation in the world of shapes, improving visual memory of shapes. Indirect aims: preparation for mathematics and geometry and preparing the hand for writing.
