Temperature tablets are a classic Montessori sensory aid designed to develop the perception of different temperatures. By comparing surfaces, the child is gradually guided toward more precise discrimination of temperature differences and mindful work with the senses.
The box contains six pairs of tablets made from materials that differ in their thermally conductive properties:
Once the child has mastered working with the aid, the tablets can also be used for a language nomenclature lesson (“warm”/“cold”) and for naming the individual materials. The aid is based on the pedagogical approach of the Italian educator Maria Montessori.
