The rounded cab roof and windows provide a view into the refined interior, while separately fitted parts (e.g. the roof whistle, boiler bell, lamps, and piping) underline the precise model craftsmanship.
Realistic operation is ensured by the factory-installed PIKO PSD XP Sound sound decoder with NEM 658 PluX16 interface. All lighting uses modern LED technology, including direction-dependent lights. Digitally switchable functions also include cab lighting, chassis/drivetrain area lighting, and a flickering firebox light simulating glowing coal.
