The Polonez is one of the best-known cars in Polish automotive history. Its development began in the early 1970s as a replacement for the 125p model, with Pol-Mot cooperating with the Italian FIAT concern on the design work. The car was named Polonez in 1978 following a readers' poll conducted by the Życie Warszawy newspaper.
This licensed FSO model depicts the Polonez in its Milicja service version. The 1:43-scale metal construction is suitable both as a toy and as an addition to a collection of historical car models.
